All-Night Pirith Chanting Ceremony

In response to the recent adverse weather conditions and in alignment with national relief efforts, the Matara Bodhi Arakshaka Sabawa launched the "Matara Relief for Badulla" initiative. On November 29th and 30th, the Matara Bodhi premises served as a collection center for donations. Thanks to the overwhelming generosity of the people of Matara, enough essential supplies were gathered to fill seven trucks.

The Alms-giving Ceremony (Heel Dana) for 100 members of the Maha Sangha organized to invoke blessings for the New Year 2026, to bless those affected by disasters, and to transfer merits to those who lost their lives in such calamities will be held on January 01, 2026, at the Dhamma Hall premises near the Sacred Matara Bodhiya.

The All-Night Pirith Chanting Ceremony, organized to invoke blessings for the New Year 2026, to bless those affected by disasters, and to transfer merits to those who lost their lives in such calamities, will be held on December 31, 2025, from 9:00 PM until dawn the following day at the Dhamma Hall premises near the Sacred Matara Bodhiya.
