In response to the recent adverse weather conditions and in alignment with national relief efforts, the Matara Bodhi Arakshaka Sabawa launched the "Matara Relief for Badulla" initiative. On November 29th and 30th, the Matara Bodhi premises served as a collection center for donations. Thanks to the overwhelming generosity of the people of Matara, enough essential supplies were gathered to fill seven trucks.
After carefully sorting and securely packaging the items, the relief convoy departed for Badulla in the early hours of December 2nd.
This mission was made possible by the unwavering support of our community. We extend our deepest gratitude (Punyanumodana) to the President, the Executive Committee, and all members of the Matara Bodhi Protection Council for their leadership. We also recognize the dedicated staff and the energetic youth volunteers who worked tirelessly day and night to ensure the success of this noble merit-work. Finally, we thank every citizen of Matara who contributed to this cause.
